Details & Highlights
Mokpo is the coastal city about 2hrs away from Seoul by KTX.  The city is still in old culture.  you have omething unique atmosphere there. It bears many historic and cultural stories with the ocean and famous local foods. This beautiful city tour is definitely enjoyable with museums, the older buildings, independent bookstores, restaurants and the nice cocktail bar, etc.

Mokpo is the best city if visitors want to be in peaceful and slow culture.
Mt. Yudalsan is approachable by a cable car. It is the best place to observe Mokpo city with ocean. The hiking course is pleasant distance from there.

Gohado Island has a great historic story about Admiral Yi Sunshine. Visiting Museum is a bonus there. The nature with ocean is calm and enjoyable when you take its coastal walk path.

Seosandong village is the older town on the higher ground and has not changed much for several decades. Having a coffee break at the village is a good idea.

Mokpo Modern History Museum is worth to visit. There is the spirit of Mokpo and the identity of Mokpo as Korean. All you can touch by.
We cannot miss walking around old downtown right in front of Mokpo station. Before we catch a train, grabbing a cocktail from a retro cocktail bar  is a nice wrapping up!
